The city stole my dreams !!!

I have never had any issues with Bombay. In fact, I have always done a good PR job for the city… promoted its not-so-beautiful-anymore beauty, its not-so-friendly-anymore crowd, its lil-too-stiff-sometimes night life and the million opportunities that millions come to seek here… Still no issues with Bombay.

Since the age of 15 I dreamt of livin in the city and practicing the profession of law. Well, I became a lawyer alright… Though I was delayed by 365 days only, I came to live in the city alright too.. Now, I am officially supposedly livin my dream.

After finding a reasonably good job with a not-so-reasonable salary, a 4500 sq. ft bunglow with a sea view to live in (through a miracle only) , awesome home made cooked food to hog on and a handful of friends to get drunk with… I thought I was there… well, almost!

But whenever I take some time off for myself to bask in the glow of now doing what I have always wanted to do, I find myself in this semi-amnesiac state when I can not remember my dreams… and I ask myself the questions that I can never answer…

Did I dream of fallin into a sleep so sound every night that I would never be able to dream again? Did I dream of being so hungry that I wouldn’t care what I was gulpin in? Did I dream of listening to jarring music loud enough to block all conversations from people? Did I dream of being so lost in thought that I wouldn’t be able to say what I was thinking about? Did I dream of a time when I wouldn’t be able to realize that I was stolen of my dreams?

I never take take time off for myself. Now, I never take time off for myself.
